VOLUNTEERS:

Holding a list of volunteers helps the Friend's Committee to be confident that as events approach there is a network in place that can help ensure the event will run smoothly.

Often it's the little things which make all the difference, so even if you cannot support the events in person your presence and help can be felt and appreciated.

Volunteers might expect an email or phone call only once or twice a year, but knowing you are willing to help gives the committee reassurance of success.

Opposite is a list of typical jobs that we ALWAYS need help with, if you are willing and able please email us putting the job you are interested in, in the subject box of you message. Please tell us which year group you have children in, a contact telephone number and your preferred email address.

Thanks, even half an hour of someone's time is appreciated.

Class Representatives....

There are usually two representatives for each class in the school. They provide the link between individual classes, parents and the committee. The support from class representatives is really helpful when it comes to organising events and activities.

They are a point of contact for the parents in their class, providing information about an event, ticket sales and requests and helping to organise volunteers for events as well as sorting out donations when they come in to school.

Class representatives would not be expected to go it all alone! Events that have been organised in the past have only happened because there has been lots of support from lots of people. None of us could do it all on our own!

We have not had class representatives before so the job can be as big or as small as you want it to be. What it will be is informal, fun and interesting!

If you are interested please email us - the addresses can be found on the contact us page.

Thanks, any time and support you can give makes a massive difference.

MEETINGS: A problem....
Lots of you are interested in what goes on and want to be involved but cannot come to the meetings or do not want to come for a variety of reasons.

And a solution...

We would like to hold meetings after school for up to half an hour to help keep people informed of what is going on and give everyone the opportunity to be involved in a way you may not have been able to before.

School have offered to supervise our children while this takes place.

The idea is that we get together in a more informal way to sort out what needs doing. We will let you know when the first one will take place!
